Top 19 things I wish I knew back in 2004

Alen introduced top 19 lists of what he should have known in his professional career.

All the topics are remarkably great.

  1. Career is not ladder but jungle gym
  2. There are a lot of good schools and you are not a centre of universe
  3. Don't ask for a referral, but rather earn it.
  4. Recognize the difference among recruiters, headhunters, and hiring managers.
  5. Find right place, right time, right role.
  6. Build relationship
  7. Job acquisition takes time
  8. People are busy. But Just reach out
  9. Always be looking but don't look desperate
  10. Do not send unsolicitated resume. 
  11. Send resume as pdf
  12. Understand consequence of choosing courage
  13. Take your shot
  14. Management is a learnable skillset
  15. The two year rule:Company benefit and employee benefit would be opposite.
  16. You can apply your craft anyware. Choose your company carefully and wisely
  17. Every role has value - separate your job from your boss
  18. This is one's subjective opinion
  19. Take advantages of your MBA

Especially, I am interested in 14 and 15 because those are what I am demonstrating in my career.
